Horde Mage Race

[:1]So I'm switching to Horde, I'm wonder what the best race for a mage is. From what I can tell Goblins, Trolls and Orcs have good racials for the class. Any input would be great before I throw down my money.
Orc Mage is best Mage
Goblin or Trolls for the racials. I also love my BE for the free mana every two minutes, but everyone seems to bash on me for it=[
I like the blood elf mage for the mana too, and we used to have the best racials at least.
Orc for more powerful spells, Trolls for FASTER spells from time to time, Undead for after-battle healing, Blood Elf for mana restoration, Goblin for sweet escapes.

...In your choices, though, I'd go with Trolls. Why? 'Cause trolls be flippin' out, mon.
Everyone will say Orc for the cooldown or Blood elf for mana but I am going to go out on a limb and say Goblin.

Goblins have haste which is lackluster but still a dps increase without a button press. You have a portable bank which if you think about during raiding is a rather interesting utility before your guild has its portable bank cooldown ability or while its on cooldown. You have rocket boots which allows you to be more mobile, a bit less likely to die (when your dead your dps is 0 ) if you are not using the rocket boots then you have a dps attack racial you can use to do a bit of bonus damage ( not sure if it has a global or not ) You get discounts ( best discount I might add means 20% without exalted. ) which is not important for dungeons but its a nice touch.

Goblins are short meaning when you zoom out you will be able to see around you a little better, I like this personally as a gnome. And by far the best part about being a goblin mage. Rocket boots + slow fall. /discussionEnded

It really depends on what you're doing. Goblins are wonderful because Blink into Rocket Belt is a fantastic way to escape from melee. You also receive 1% spell haste. Undead, of course, have Cannibalism (which is okay) and Will of the Forsaken.

My mage is a blood elf. I found Arcane Torrent invaluable while raiding in Wrath.
