[:1]As the title sais.
I'm no expert at PvE, but I PvP alot as frost. As such, I'm accustomed to frost and don't want to mess around with a different spec for PvE unless it's necessary.
Well played Frost PvE is within 5-10% of Fire's output. So yes.
It sure is. Getting nice deepfreezes for 130k+ is always fun..although that high is rare but a quick coldsnap and you can try for it again! Just make sure if its in the beginning of the fight to have your images out =)
Yes its great.
I never saw this anywhere showing how to play frost but I was watching the Ensidia Nefarian(I think that's the name) video and basically the mage followed the normal rotation however instead of icelancing away FoF he would wait till he got 2 stacks and do a Frostbolt with an Icelance at the end of it. (You can trade icelance with FFB or DF, though he may have just used these when they popped I couldn't really tell)
Interesting. Why cast a FB rather than an Icelance in that situation? Seems like thats a DPS loss. FB hits slightly harder but Icelance hits nearly as hard and is an insta cast.
frostbolt doesn't even benefit from FoF...
he probably just used FB to avoid losing casting time due to server latency. you kinda get screwed over if you use 2 instants in a row because you can't queue them properly.
It is considered more beneficial to always keep at least one FoF charge up at all times in case Deep Freeze comes off CD or Brain Freeze procs. You should only go down to 0 FoF charges when your pet's Freeze comes off CD or if your FoF is about to expire.
Coming from a mage from Ensidia, it is really not surprising, as he would totally do everything to get the maximum damage output.
