Tribomb and Impact - Decision making

[:1]I'm curious if anyone's thought of this, and whether or not it's wise to do, both in Heroics and raids. Let me set it up for you:

At least 3 targets, casting LB on each and proceeding to do normal nuking/AoE.
At 12s, LB 1 detonates.
At 13.5s, LB 2 detonates.
If I have Impact, use Impact on the mob with LB 3 before it detonates (1.5s window of reaction time)
Impact + LB on 3 targets again, each with <1.5 left
Final tic and detonate on all 3.
Reapply 3 living bombs and repeat.

I've managed to do this a few times in runs from seeing 6 LB explosions in that short period, but I was really more focused on the pack than specific numbers. I may try to find dummy clusters and work on it when I've got free time. At first impression, it seems like tripling the result of your Living bomb's explosion and final tic is better than to start reapplying 1.5s sooner.

If this was standard, I must've missed something, so whoopsies if so, but I don't recall anything about it. I think this would be one good reason to make Impact less RNG, and give it a cooldown like Early Frost or some other reliable method of activating (A living bomb detonation, making Impact always spread DoTs, but increase the cooldown). I think we can all agree there's a lot of RNG in fire, and Impact is a pleasant addition when it's available to use and it's use is effective. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen too often, and procs often go unwasted.

Any thoughts?

Edit: Intuitively, it also works with two targets.
Or just LB one target, Flame strike to get a pretty much guaranteed impact proc, use impact, reapply LB on the target that you impacted because for some reason LB always goes off that target (fix it bliz) then flame strike again, blizzard, Lol ur face off.
What you're describing will be a net DPS gain for around 3 to 5 targets or so. Its creative, but probably hard to pull off consistently in diverse conditions.
